Lighting a lake or pond
To recreate this look you will need to use bollard lights in areas that you will require to walk around in this instance the designer has used them to mark the outer areas of the jetty, giving not only a visual guide to the boundaries of the deck for safety but also to reflect light off the surface of the water this method can work as well on a pond as it does this small lake. In the image you can see a mini wall light which has a finish called verdigris, it is purposely made to look aged and weathered this trick helps tie a new light fitting into any vintage or aged area. The same mini light is scattered all around the outside of the lake shinning its light down onto the water for a beautiful effect at night. All of these effects can be recreated on a pond.
