We also have the lighting showroom in Bristol with over 500 fittings on display and all of the lighting and LEDs that I have developed. As part of my design service we would always recommend a visit to the showroom to see the many different styles of lighting and the way different colour temperature lamps can affect a space. The showroom not only displays the fittings it shows how they will light a space. If you already have ideas or a lighting design from a builder or arcitect we can check to ensure everything has been considered and will work. We can go over every aspect of the job room by room. We can over lay a lighting design onto a CAD drawing which can be easily followed by an electrician making life on site a lot easier. We can create lighting mood boards working with colour schemes, furniture and other decor to ensure the lighting chosen is perfect for the space. We can order samples and can work directly with builders and contractors. We can arrange staggered deliveries to meet tight deadlines and ensure from an electrics and lighting stand point that everything goes flawlessly.

We have a same day local delivery service available for our traders in our vans as we all know the parking is terrible all around Bristol and this can help to save valuable time on a job. Our lighting showroom showcases a selection of the best designs we have found. We only work with leading manufactures and designers and the quality of our lighting speaks for itself. Open 6 days a week we have a great team of staff who reflect the quality of our lighting. So if you are working on your house or business then we are the place to come for inspiration, the latest designs and friendly customer service . We source products and lighting from leading manufacturers all over the world. We have the latest technology in stock and on display in our Bristol lighting showroom. We make our own LED tape and even repair and restore lights in our workshop. Our staff are well trained and we work closely with all the brands we stock. Training is a big part of our job, knowing our products and the regulations means we can afford tecnhincal advise and can recommend products and solutions.

What is the best outdoor lighting?

We are often asked what is the best way to light a garden, in particular seating areas, BBQs and more recently outdoor cinemas. Well in short no two gardens are the same so therefore it is difficult to recommend just one product. That being said festoon lighting is a great lighting solution and works in so many gardens and outdoor spaces.

We sell pre made kits but we also sell bespoke made to measure festoon kits. This is very popular and we get amazing feedback from everyone who has brought it from us.

Made to measure festoon lighting

So the way this works is you measure from the power source ( your outdoor socket ) and you work out where you want the lights to begin. So the socket may be 5 metres from the start of the lights, that fine measure this and let us know. Then measure the total length of lighting needed. A great and easy way to do this is to use a cheap ball of string and run this around the garden where the lighting will live. Then measure the string. Finnaly the number of actual lamps. You can have them every 500mm or every 1000mm spaced out along the festoon. The holders are IP44 and take an E27 lamp. We can even supply you an RCD plug on the kit to make it even safer.

The festoon we supply is the best available. The cable is rubberised and UV rated meaning the sun will not harm it. There are many cheaper sets online that are not meant to be left up all year round in the sun so please be careful what you buy.
