Control of outdoor sockets and lighting is important. Not only does it have to be safe and suitable for location, it should also allow adequate user control. One of the issues we encountered time and again when working on garden lighting with clients was getting the controll of wall lighting correct. Wall lights are often used for security and practical task lighting meaning more often than not they have to have a large Lumen output to be suitable for the task. This is great but can be a bit overpowering when more ambient lighting is required,for example if you wished to sit outside in an eveing for a relaxing glasss of wine.
We contacted dozens of suppliers but no one made a dimmer switch that could be used externally. We therefore decided we would m ake them ourselves! Using an IP rated enclosure we have made outdoor suitable dimmers for both conventional lightig and LED. These are available from 1-4 gang. you can view these on the link below.
